If you write English only, there is no problem. But other languages use various strange characters like Ä and Ç - all with ASCII code over 127. They have different places in DOS and Windows codepages. If you write "Ä" in Windows, DOS shows "-". If you write "Ä" in DOS editor, Windows shows "Ž"! IKI works uder Windows, but in MS-DOS mode. Therefore is needed using MS-DOS Editor ( invoked by [T] key; not [E] key, in which case you go to Windows Notepad.
